Take It Easy
Notes of Remembrance
I was running down the road, Trying to lighten my load
Got seven women on my mind;
Four who want to own me, two who want to stone me
One says she’s a friend of mine…

The tune turned recurrently in mind those past few days.
There were times in a man’s life, he just wanted to set the record straight. Was it his fault if the situation was perfectly expressed in some old rock lyric?
June was drawing to a close and he was never quite sure where he was in the overall scheme of things.
The prognosis had him dead by the end of May and here he was. Before that, he had counted the days. Now, not so much. But he did wonder what came next.
Things he had ordered had come n, and the jobs delayed for want of critical parts were now completed.
The odd thing about the way things turned out was the inclination to re-establish connections with those who had had meaning earlier in life.
Before they, too, died.
He was nearly out of inspiration of seeking answers that, he hoped they might provide.
It wasn’t a matter of reliving what was long past or righting some wrong decisions or confirming how things had turned out as the best of all worlds.
What then was he looking for?
